TECH-ED'07 : Annonces du keynote et messages clés = Release de VS2008 et .NET 3.5, Sync Framework ou encore Popfly Explorer !
Comme précisé dans mon précédent post, nous voici au TechEd'07 de Barcelone, nous sommes actuellement dans la zone de Work Area et nous nous préparons à nous diriger vers la salle du Keynote.
Effectivement, dans quelques instants, nous suivrons le Keynote de S. “Soma” Somas qui nous annoncera officiellement la release de Visual Studio 2008 ainsi que du .NET Framework 3.5 pour fin Novembre 07.
Soma nous dévoilera également durant ce Keynote différents éléments clés comme :
- les nouvelles opportunités pour partenaires de Microsoft autour de la gamme de produits Visual Studio
- les nouveaux outils ou ressources pour développeurs incluant une première CTP (Community Technology Preview ) du Microsoft Sync Framework
- les nouvelles capacités de "Popfly Explorer" !
A propos de Sync Framework :
This new sync framework is designed to fill the void between the simplicity of RDA (Remote Data Access), full featured, but complex, Merge Replication, and raw components of DataSet. This new sync framework is designed to work over services, 2 tier and work with any back end system.

Voici également quelques messages clés qui nous seront diffusés durant ce Keynote et qui me sont d'ores-et-déjà relayés en primeur par Microsoft Corp :
- The business imperative is clear: Organizations need to deliver richer, more connected applications and services to their customers to drive revenue and stay ahead of the competition.
- Today, Microsoft takes another leap forward by delivering the tools that help development organizations build great applications on the latest platforms—the Web, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, the 2007 Office system, and beyond--by announcing:
- Visual Studio 2008 and the .NET Framework 3.5 will release to manufacture in November
- Popfly Explorer, which will provide deep integration into Visual Web Developer Express 2008
- The first CTP of the Microsoft Sync Framework, a new platform that builds on the synchronization capabilities in Visual Studio 2008 and empowers developers to create solutions that enable collaboration and online/offline synchronization.
- In response to partner feedback, Microsoft is expanding options for our partners and creating new opportunities for the software industry:
- Microsoft will change licensing for Visual Studio to allow partners to target other platforms
- Microsoft will create a shared source licensing program for Premier-level partners in the Visual Studio Industry Partner program.
- These latest innovations are part of the broader Microsoft Application Platform strategy and are the next major milestone leading up to the global launch of Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008.
